Why is Canna Healer's RSO better?

Why is our product better?

We at Canna Healer pride ourselves on providing a product not only different from the rest, but more importantly healthier than the rest.

This is not only shown in the ingredients we use but also the quality of the objects we use to make RSO in.

We use only organic flower and organic food grade alcohol. We stray from using any isopropyl alcohol because it’s not food grade and could be very disruptive to the body. We also don’t use any butane or any petroleum-based solvents.

It is our firm belief that stainless steel pots are the way to go for not only durability, resiliency and performance as well. Stainless steel is also less reactive with substances that are being cooked inside grills, pots, pans, etc. and is more body friendly. Aluminum on the other hand has been known to react to substances being cooked inside it, which could also affect color and flavor. Even more importantly is the possible link of Aluminum to Alzheimer’s Disease as well.

Cannabis Strains to use for RSO

The best thing to do when unsure about what medical strain of cannabis to use is to experiment and find what works out the best. Most medical cannabis treatments call for high-CBD hash oil, high-THC hash oil or a mixture of both types.

If still uncertain, start off by selecting a medical strain of cannabis that you like or which one sounds more suited to you. Rick Simpson Oil (RSO, Phoenix Tears) is an edible cannabis hash oil, particularly created from high-THC medical cannabis strains.

These strains could deliver substantial medical benefits. One possibility is Marinol, a prescription drug which is a synthetic form of THC. Marinol is designed to treat or prevent the nausea and vomiting caused by cancer medicines and also used to boost the appetite of those with AIDS.

THC undoubtedly has psychoactive effects and great care is advised when using high-THC strains if unfamiliar with its effects. This is especially true because THC taken without any CBD oil is highly likely to generate very strong psychoactive effects.

A majority of medical patients start off by picking a high-CBD strain of cannabis, because CBD appears to have some of the most accepted medical benefits. CBD on its own both does not alter perception or have any psychoactive effects. It’s important to note that any strain of medical cannabis, even those with High-CBD will have significant amounts of THC, although High-CBD strains also won’t alter perception like high-THC strains would.

At present, there’s basically only one way to get just CBD without any THC, and this was engineered through a process of extracting CBD from hemp (cannabis’ legal cousin). However, there isn’t yet any evidence that highlights eating CBD from hemp is as reliable and effective as consuming the extract from a high-CBD medical strain.

An abundance of medical patients selects a mixture of CBD and THC treatments, which ends up being the most potently effective choice for some patients. Sativex is one of these selections, and is a prescription med mouth spray whose chemical compound is taken from organic extracts of the cannabis plant. Sativex has merely two cannabinoids taken from the cannabis plant: CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). It doesn’t have the full mix of cannabinoids present in medical cannabis strains. This spray is not only used for moderate to severe pain relief in adult patients with advanced cancer, it’s also used in treating neuropathic pain and spasticity in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

A major benefit for those that choose a mixture of high-THC and high-CBD strains is that this combination appears to deliver the biggest benefits of medical cannabis with the least number of psychoactive outcomes.

There are dozens of other cannabinoids in the cannabis plant which haven’t been focused on, that some assert all work together to give the most relief.

Here is a listing of both High-THC and High-CBD medical strains that not only have buds that possess extraordinary medical properties, they have proven genetics.

High-THC strains – Actually, most of the strains available presently are high-THC, but this is a short list of highly effective strains that religiously deliver high amounts of THC:
Amnesia Haze
Black Jack
Chem Dog
Critical Jack
Dark Star
Orange Hill Special
Sour Diesel
Super Lemon Haze
Vanilla Rush
White Rhino

High-CBD strains – The most dependable high-CBD results are primarily with clones, however, those high-CBD strains from seed have improved dramatically over the last couple of years as the strains become stabilized.
 Cannatonic
CBD Shark Shock
Charlotte’s Web (clone-only)
ComPassion
Harlequin (clone-only)
MED GOM 1.0 (by CBD crew and Grass-O-Matic) – one of the highest CBD auto-flowering strains Pennywise
Sour Tsunami (clone-only)

The option you end up going with will depends primarily on your body and your condition. Experimentation ends up being the key to satisfaction.

Our Mission

The primary focus of Canna Healer deals with Rick Simpson Oil (aka RSO, Phoenix Tears), including the following: its creation, its purpose, differences between RSO and CBD oil, dosing suggestions and how you can make your own.

Rick Simpson Oil was set in motion in 2003 after he discovered three suspicious bumps on his arm. These spots ended up being basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. Simpson realized that he’d treated past health episodes with cannabis and was encouraged by a major health journal stating how THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) killed cancer cells in mice. Simpson decided to treat his tumors topically, so he put concentrated cannabis oil on a bandage and then covered the cancerous areas for four days. Upon uncovering the bandage, he found the spots were gone. Despite his doctor’s rejection of this dramatic transformation, Rick Simpson created his own special cannabis concentrate, Phoenix Tears, using THC as the main ingredient. This has been used by thousands of patients to treat cancer issues on the body.

Where RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) differs from CBD (Cannabinoid Oil) is that for Phoenix Tears, it’s main agent is THC as well as other necessary cannabinoids to provide users with a more euphoric, medicating experience. CBD on the other hand has barely a trace of THC and includes other minor cannabinoids that don’t create a more joyous, medicating result.

The dosing suggestions for RSO are contingent upon a user’s body and the time frame for their tolerance and acceptance levels. Patients are encouraged to push themselves past data research which shows it will take the average person about 3 months to ingest the complete 60 ml oil treatment or the full 60g option. Recommended early dosage of Rick Simpson Oil consists of 3 doses/day with each being about the size of a half a grain of short grained dry rice, every 8 hours. It will also take the average person from 3-5 weeks to get to the point where they can take 1g or 1 ml of Rick Simpson Oil per day. This rate for RSO usage can continue until respective medical issues are under control.
There’s also a section on how to make your own Rick Simpson Oil to create a personal inventory that’s able to battle compromised medical issues at a moment’s notice. However, initially Rick Simpson will inform those creators that their best bet is to create his RSO are from licensed, experienced professionals. The recipe instructions are fully described in-depth including exact amounts of specific ingredients as well as cooking times and which apparatuses to use for the maximal benefit.

The importance of RSO in dealing with cancerous diagnoses goes without saying as Canna Healer is your source for Rick Simpson Oil and how it give users a new outlook on their lives.

RSO Dosing Guide

Dosing Suggestions for Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) Phoenix Tears
Whole plant cannabis oil, which includes Rick Simpson Oil, not only possesses a bitter and unrefined earthy taste, it will also remind people of chlorophyll. At the outset, the best thing for you and the best way to take it is to tack a dosage on your lower gum line, while letting it dissolve on its own in a couple minutes. Once your dosage increases, your taste buds will become more accepting of the cannabis oil and make it easier to take your meds. One rule of thumb is to realize that cannabis oil that is concentrated is a hugely potent medication. Great care must be taken, which includes never to take more than the recommended dosage until you are positively certain you know how RSO affects you.
Don't be dissuaded into using RSO despite knowing that the average person will take about 3 months (90 days) to ingest the complete 60 ml oil treatment or the full 60-gram option.
The recommended early dosing involves 3 doses/day with each dose being about the size of a half a grain of short grained dry rice. The patient will then take this dosage every 8 hours. This includes: early in the morning, once again in the afternoon and the final dose of each day typically an hour before bedtime. Something to note, is that as a patient starts taking the oil, they will not normally feel the oil's effect until about an hour after they've taken the dosage. For a comparison, about 1/4 of a drop would be a beginner's dosage.
After four days of three doses a day, most patients are able to increase their doses by doubling the dosage amount every four days. In utilizing this easy-to-follow regimen, the majority of patients actually responded that they did not experience a high that the oil usually causes. However, users must realize that not everybody is built the same and some will have different and much higher tolerances to allow them a 2x dosage change. Don't be alarmed however, as if an individual actually does experience a "high" this will not usually harm them; as long as the oil was properly made. This is particularly true if the oil that's being taken was made from sedative Indica-dominant strains as opposed to heady sativa strains.
An average person takes anywhere from 3-5 weeks to get to the point they can take 1 gram or 1 ml of oil/day. When patients achieve this dosage, they can continue at this rate until individual medical issues are brought under control. At this point, patients will primarily build a tolerance for ingesting the oil, making it much simpler to consume larger quantities at a time.

How To Make RSO - Rick Simpson Oil - Phoenix Tears

Now that you've realized the possible effects on your body of using Rick Simpson Oil and are willing to proceed, the next thing is to make it yourself to keep everything personalized and trusted. We must first start with one oz. of dried herb. This singular oz. will usually make 3-4 grams of oil, however the amount produced per oz. varies with each strain. A lb. of dried material usually makes about 2 oz. of high-end oil. A word of warning here as the following instructions are those laid out by Rick Simpson himself. Usually, cannabis extractions should exclusively be performed by licensed professionals. In trying to do it yourself, you must take be careful when boiling solvents off as the whole process is immensely flammable. Please avoid smoking, stove-tops, heat guns, sparks and red-hot heating elements. Place a fan to blow fumes away from the pot, as well as setting up in a well-aired and ventilated are for the entire process. - Place the thoroughly dry material into clean bucket. - Dampen the material with the solvent being used. Many solvents are workable here, although avoiding petroleum solvents would be advantageous. You can use butane, 99% isopropyl alcohol, ethanol or even plain old water. Specifically, two gallons of solvent is necessary to extract the THC from 1 lb. and 500 ml. is sufficient for an oz. - Crush the plant material by using a stick with clean, untreated wood or any other comparable device. Despite the material being damp, it'll still be easy to crush because of its dryness.
- Keep crushing the plant material with the stick, while adding a solvent until the plant substance is fully covered and soaked. Also keep stirring the mixture for 3 minutes. By doing this, the THC comes off the plant and makes its way into the solvent.
- Pour the solvent oil mix off the plant material into another bucket. Now, you've stripped the material of about 80% of its THC.
- Do a second wash by adding solvent to the mix and work for another 3 minutes to take away the remaining THC.
- Pour the solvent oil mix into the bucket with the first mix that was poured out before.
- Get rid of the plant material that's now been washed twice.
- Pour the solvent oil mix through a coffee filter into a clean container.
- Boil the solvent off with a rice cooker which will also hold over 1/2 gal. of solvent mix. DANGER: avoid sparks, cigarettes, open flames, red-hot elements, and stove-tops because the fumes can be immensely flammable.
- Next, add solvent to the rice cook until about 3/4 full and immediately turn on high heat. You must now check and ensure you're in a well-ventilated area before also setting up a fan to carry the solvent fumes away from you. Keep adding mixture to the cooker as the solvent evaporates once you have added it all to the cooker.
- Once the level in the rice cooker decreases for the last and final time, add a few drops of water (about 10 drops of water/pound of dry material). This aids in releasing the solvent residue while also protecting the oil from too much heat.
- When about 1" of a water/solvent mix in the rice cooker, put on oven mitts and pick up the unit and swirl the contents until the solvent has finished boiling off.
- When the solvent has completely boiled off, put the cooker on LOW heat. At no time should the oil ever reach over 290°F or 140°C.
- Please keep your oven mitts on and remove the pot with the oil from the rice cooker. Gently pour the oil into a stainless-steel container.
- Put the stainless-steel container in a dehydrator, or place it in a gentle heating device like a coffee warmer. It could take a few hours but the volatile terpenes and water will be evaporated from the oil. When there is no longer any surface activity on the oil, it's ready for use.
- Finally, suck the oil up in a plastic syringe or any other viable container that works. A syringe makes the oil easy to get rid of. When the oil cools down thoroughly, it should have the consistency of thick grease.

What is the difference between Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) and CBD Oil

By examining the major properties for each it becomes clear as to what this distinction is.

Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) contains THC along with other essential cannabinoids that help to deliver a more euphoric medicating experience that CBD Oil. Research has shown extremely positive results with utilizing THC which includes hugely therapeutic advantages. This is one of the main reasons why some patients prefer more of a whole plant cannabis oil over individual cannabinoids.

CBD Oil has two types and neither have any significant THC within them. Only the second type of CBD Oil has barely a trace (non-psychoactive cannabis hemp stalk with .03% THC). The first type of CBD Oil is only legal in medical marijuana-friendly states due to it containing other minor cannabinoids.

Despite the second type having a tiny amount, and because this version of the oil comes from hemp stalk/seeds it's not the preferred oil for the vast majority of medical marijuana patients. This is because they have no faith that their medical issues can be overcome without THC and its proven medical benefits.
